- 1 October, 2007- OKACOM Secretariat starts operation in Maun.
- 29 October, 2007- OKACOM and partners meet in Windhoek, Namibia to re-launch the Angola-based EPSMO Project.
- 2 February, 2008 – Official launch of OKACOM Secretariat office in Maun.
- OKACOM Executive Secretary chairs a panel on transboundary water resources management at African Water Week in Johannesburg, November 9th to 11th 2009.
- Okavango Basin Steering Committee meets in Angola on 25th and 26th of November to review final draft of the Okavango River Basin Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis report.
- Okacom commissioners meet in Namibia to review final draft of the River Basin Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis report.
- February 1-5, 2010: Flood Pulsing Wetlands International Symposium, Maun, Botswana: OKACOM special session on science-based planning, management and decision making in the Okavango river basin.
