Mr. Richard Upingasana
Mr. Richard K. Upingasana is employed by the Namibian Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources as Chief Fisheries Inspector, he has held this position since 2009. He is based in Rundu on the Cubango river.
Richard has been serving OKACOM on the Biodiversity Task Force (BTF) since2011. He would like to see harmonization of international law on shared resources soon. He says OKACOM is the ‘common voice of proper management for the shared water and river resources. Better managed resource utilization will be of benefit to present and future generations.’
Richard married his wife Soinie on 5th May 2013, they have eight children. In his free time Richard enjoys watching soccer, fishing and game viewing.
