Mrs Shishani Munyika

Namibian Biodiversity Task Force member, Aquatic Ecologist in the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry (MAWF)

Shishani 2015Shishani Munyika was born in Eemboo village in Ohangwena Region. She has two Bsc. Degrees, one in Natural Resources (Fisheries and Marine Science) and the other,  a BSc. Hons. in Zoology (Freshwater Biology). Shishani also has an MA in Integrated Water Resource Management.

'OKACOM is doing its best to preserve and safeguard the natural resources of the Cubango-Okavango river in an integrated manner.'

She has been employed by the Namibian Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry since 2007. She is currently employed there as an Aquatic Ecologist where she deals with the aquatic ecology and biodiversity of perennial, ephemeral rivers and other wetlands. She has a huge interest in Aquatic Ecosystem Health and bio-monitoring.

Shishani has been on the Biodiversity Task Force (BTF) since 2008.

She is married and has children.
