Harmonised, basin-wide land use planning guidelines developed
The development of harmonised landuse guidelines throughout the basin will promotethe sustainability of resource use in the basin and has been identified inthe consultation process as a critical outcome for the SAP. Although environmental degradation in the basin is limited atpresent, it does exist in some areas and interventions will be carried out to reverse existing and halt further degradation.
