Water Quality Monitoring

The development of the CORB water quality monitoring programme is informed by four (4) joint basin wide surveys which established baseline status of selected physiochemical and chemical parameters including pH, Turbidity, Electrical Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen, Temperature, Nitrates and Phosphates. These surveys were conducted by members of the WRTC supported by OKASEC technical staff in July 2018 (high flows), November 2018 (low flows), May 2019 (high flows) and November 2019 (low flows). As expected, the baseline water quality data demonstrated that overall the quality of water within the basin is still in a desirable state.
